Business system integrations

I connect the systems a business already uses so data moves on real events instead of manual copy-paste. The work is part integration engineering, part workflow design, and it only counts as finished when the people running the business can understand and operate it.

Who it’s for

  • Businesses copying customer or order data between tools by hand
  • Ecommerce teams whose store, CRM and email platform do not agree
  • Operations teams that need a reliable handoff between sales and fulfilment
  • Companies with automations nobody can audit or safely change

Problems this solves

  • →Customer and order data living in separate systems with no single source of truth.
  • →Automations that trigger on guesses rather than confirmed business events.
  • →API integrations with no retry, monitoring or error path.
  • →A workflow that depends on one person and breaks when they are unavailable.
  • →Tools that were connected once and have quietly stopped working.

01Deliverables

What the work includes.

The exact scope is agreed after the first conversation. These are the building blocks this service usually covers.

01

Integration audit

A map of the systems, data flows, events and failure points, including what should be automated and what should stay manual.

02

Event and data contracts

A defined schema for the events and records that move between systems, so every integration agrees on what a customer, order or status change means.

03

CRM and email platform integrations

Connections between the store or application and tools such as MailerLite or a CRM, triggered by confirmed events rather than manual imports.

04

API and webhook development

Reliable request handling with authentication, validation, retries, timeouts and logging where the integration needs to survive real traffic.

05

Documentation and monitoring

Written flows, ownership and observability so the integration can be diagnosed when something changes upstream.

02Approach

How the work gets done.

  1. 01

    Understand the system

We start with the business goal, the current stack and the constraints. I need to know what is actually breaking before proposing a build.

  2. 02

    Design the architecture

Scope, data model, integrations and success criteria are defined before implementation, so the work has a clear shape and a testable definition of done.

  3. 03

    Build in visible milestones

Work is delivered in reviewable stages on a staging environment, with decisions documented as they are made rather than after the fact.

  4. 04

    Verify and hand over

Testing, measurement validation, documentation and a walkthrough. The goal is a system the next person can operate and maintain.

04FAQ

Questions clients ask.

Which tools can you integrate?

Any platform that exposes a usable API or webhooks, within its rate limits and terms. Common examples include WooCommerce, CRMs, MailerLite, Google services and internal applications.

What if a tool has no API?

I check for supported exports, webhooks or a documented integration path first. If none exists, I explain the limitation rather than building a fragile workaround and calling it an integration.

Can you fix an automation that has stopped working?

Yes. I trace the event from source to destination, identify where the contract broke, and add logging so the next failure is easier to diagnose.

Will the integration work if we change tools later?

The design keeps the event and data contract separate from any single vendor where possible. Some rework is unavoidable when a platform changes, but a documented contract makes it a contained change.

Do you document what you build?

Yes. Integrations without documentation become a dependency on the person who built them. The handover covers the flow, the credentials ownership and the failure paths.

Tell me what you’re trying to build or fix.

A short description of the problem is enough to start. I reply to real enquiries myself, usually within one to two business days.
