Shipping small products fast

The advantage of a one-person product is speed and taste. The discipline is choosing scope so small that 'done' is a realistic week, not a fantasy quarter.

I build products, NivoSearch, Hexa Grid, DiscountKit, AddonsKit, alongside client work. The rule that keeps them alive is the same one that keeps any small product alive: scope so small that shipping is a realistic, near-term outcome.

Done is a feature

A product nobody can finish is a hobby. For a small builder, the highest-value decision isn't which features to add, it's which version of the product counts as done, so that users can actually get value from it and teach you what matters next.

The loop that makes it work

  • Define the smallest version that solves the core problem.
  • Ship it. Publish it. Let strangers use it.
  • Watch what they do, not what they say.
  • Add only what the evidence supports.

A small product that ships beats a grand one that stays a plan.

Every product on this site started as a specific problem I wanted solved and stayed small long enough to become real. That's the whole strategy: pick the problem, shrink the scope, ship, and let the market correct your assumptions one release at a time.
